Populations in fragile, conflict and humanitarian settings often face a high risk of epidemics, due to a combination of factors. The risk is further compounded by challenges in detecting, monitoring, and responding to epidemic threats in a timely fashion, in contexts where surveillance systems may be disrupted and where outbreak control strategies must be tailored to the specific context of the crisis. 

Conflict and Health invites you to submit to our new Collection on the social determinants of mental health in populations affected by armed conflict, humanitarian crises, and forced migration. Mental health of populations affected by armed conflict, humanitarian crises, and forced migration is shaped by the social, economic but also physical environment in which people live. 

Attacks against healthcare in armed conflict, including violence, access constraints, and insecurity, represent a major threat to health. Gathering evidence about the attacks themselves has and continues to be crucial in raising awareness of this issue. This article collection will bring together research articles, reviews, short reports and case studies, that provide insight into the impact of attacks on healthcare.
